Apple Pizza
For the Pizza: One container of cinnamon roll dough (the kind in the tube). Usually these come with icing, but I didn’t use it. 4 Medium apples, peeled, cored and sliced or diced. I used our apple peeler/corer and it made pretty apple circles. We used Golden Delicious apples because those are Chef PickyKid’s favorite, but you can use any kind of apple you like. I think Granny Smith would be good because it would add a little tartness to the pizza. 2/3 Cup sugar 3 Tablespoons flour 1 Teaspoon baking spice-I was actually planning to use cinnamon but I was out, so I used the baking spice I had in my pantry. I thought the baking spice tasted really good in the pizza, but you can definitely use cinnamon if you prefer. For the Icing: 3 Cups Powdered Sugar 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2-2/3 Cup of milk Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. To make the cinnamon roll pizza crust, I removed the dough from the container and formed it into a ball, then rolled it flat with a rolling pin and formed it into a pizza pan. I pressed the dough along the sides of the pan to make it more like a crust. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar and baking spice. Add the apples to the mixture and stir to combine. For this part, it was easier for Chef PickyKid and I to just mix it up with our hands. Place the apples evenly on the apple pizza crust, and bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes or until the apples are softened. Source: http://www.chefpickykid.com/
