Chocolate Blackout Cake

The cake derived its name from it's intensely dark appearance and some say, the crumbled cake crumbs on top are reminiscent of aciety skyline.

Half and Half is a mixture of half milk and half cream. It has 10-12% milkfat and cannot be whipped. You can make half-and-half by mixing both whole milk and whipping cream or heavy cream, in equal proportions.

Hi I am an Australian born Italian, and like Grace, the term half and half was an enigma for me until reading this helpful blog, thanks. However I am still at a loss to know what the terminology or accurate measurement conversion for "a stick" of butter is, in ounces or grams? Please advise Kind regards Maria
