Getting Rid of Blackheads

Getting rid of Blackheads with fine salt and soda. Take gel facial wash, mix with a tablespoon of baking soda and a tablespoon of salt. Apply to damp skin with a cotton pad, leave for 5 minutes and rinse off with warm water. For better results apply face lotion to your face after you're done.

    This doesn't work at all. And, I agree a waste of time. If this worked we would not have dermatologists...

    Don't mix with your facial gel! Just mix baking soda, salt, and water together and it works. I tried it and yes it burns but it works.

    I used it this morning and does work. It did not burn.I applied without rubbing it in. I didn't remove all of them but I have a lot less. My teenage son tried it to. Same thing, he felt no burning. He feels his skin looks better and his blackheads are gone. We also applied waited the five minutes and then took our showers.

    Mixing with a gel is a bad idea all around, the ingredients vary and will react with the baking soda and salt differently. Even if you use this without the gel, all it will do is disturb your skin's pH - there's a reason it burns. Steam to open the pores and then extraction in a sterile-as-possible environment is the best way to go.

    This did not work.... I did not use my own gel, just water, salt and soda. It did not hurt. I don't get it.

    I used elmers glue, just apply on the noise and let dry, then once it's dry remove carefully.
